The first idea for a full size mock-up
For the second full size mock-up a chose the wing shape (my daughters actually say that it is a drop but I pretend that it is a wing). I like the idea of introducing further elements related to wings (birds), like feathers or textures reminding me of feathers)
I would like to keep enough freedom to be able to improvise on the way to the finished object, that's why I haven't chosen the fabrics yet for the final piece.

What interesting and exciting ideas Pascale! I love your wing shape particularly. How interesting that you and I are both influenced by wings and feathers but in such a different way. I'm looking forward to seeing how your project develops.
Thanks for your kind comments on my blog Pascale. It's nice to keep in touch with someone who is at the same stage. I have dyed and printed lots of fabrics and am stitching into some of them. Hoping I have enough!
Hi Pascale, wonderful sketches and ideas! I love both your triangular cushion and your wing - or drop - even if like Catherine my heart really beats for the wing. I also see a comma shape in it.
