Module 12-Chapter 12-stage 1-geometric shapes

 sample 1: a simple cube
sample 2: rectangular base
sample 3: "trapezoïd" base
sample 4: here the base is a rectangle, but the sides vary in height
sample 5: the base is a triangle
sample 6: the base is a square, but the sides are triangular. Although it doesn't look like it, I think that this sample has got potential
sample 7: the base has a leaf  shape

Of course, all these samples can be made with sides of different heights, depending the final purpose of the finished item

Module 2-Chapter 11-Stage B

I chose a simple pattern for this sample. Unfortunately the initial stage was too small and I couldn't cut it up even more. However, I think that one can see that in the last stage the colour has changed to a slightly darker tone.

Gelli Plate Printing

Some Gelli Plate Monoprinting in black and white using black fabric paint. Unfortunately the fabric pieces are quite small, the size of the gelli plate

Module 2-Chapter 11-Stitched Fabric Samples

Fabric sample based on paper design 2: here I also used leftoverstrips combined with decorated fabric strips. I inserted a "fringe" in the seams

Fabric sample based on paper design 8: sewing curved shapes didn't proof to be an easy thing to do, so I cut out the shapes and glued them with a temporary spray onto an interfacing. I joined the "seams" with a zigzag stitch (white on black and black on lighter background) and cut back the interfacing

Fabric sample based on paper design 6: prairie points were inserted in the seams

Module 2-Chapter 11-Paper Samples-Part 6

Design 9: I should have made the strips narrower and cut at an 45° angle to make the chevron pattern more obious

Module 2 - Chapter 11- Paper Samples-Part 1

Design 1: light and dark strips glued horizontally, cut vertically and assembled alternatively

Design 2: Left-over strips in different widths were assembled randomly on the bias (square 16 cm). This square was cut into stripes (4 cm), then into little squares and reassembled.

Design 3: strips of different widths from dark to light

Module 2-Chapter 11-Paper Samples-Part 2

Design 4: strips of different widths (4, 2, 4 cm), small strip in the middle is of the same light value, but smaller scale, which can't be seen as the strip is too small.

Design 5: strips with small and bold characters, cut on the bias, reassembled with black strip inserted, cut horizontally, reassembled with light pattern strip inserted
